Rebecca and Freddie made their happiest swipes in late February of 2023. Because of their busy calendars, they would not be able to meet for another six weeks. But both felt that this connection had the potential to be something special, and they kept in touch. Finally, on April 4th, 2023 Freddie made the two-hour drive down to Clyde’s Restaurant in Georgetown where the two would enjoy a first date they’d never forget. The following week it was Rebecca’s turn to make the two-hour drive to Baltimore, where Freddie and Rebecca went to TopGolf, impressing each other with their golfing skills. On this date, April 11th, 2023, their Hinges were deleted for good and their relationship officially began.

The next two years would be filled with more Orioles games than Rebecca could have ever imagined and more swing dancing than Freddie could have ever imagined. The two continued to grow closer together sharing steak dinners, beach trips, and golf outings. They navigated job changes, school, busy schedules, and other obstacles with which God challenged them, keeping each other close and honest. Their love and respect for one another grew and evolved every day, and as the time passed it became clear to both Freddie and Rebecca - “This person is the one God sent to me.”

On March 8th 2025, Freddie and Rebecca got engaged on that same Georgetown waterfront where they shared their first date less than two years prior. They celebrated that day with family and friends, surrounded by ones who have loved them and seen them grow into the people they are today. The months of planning and big decisions would follow, not only for their wedding but for the covenant of matrimony into which they would both be entering before they knew it.

They are excited and honored to spend their wedding day surrounded by their loving family and friends. The story of the rest of their lives is yet to be written, but they could not be more blessed with the way it starts.
